•  Panic buttons International airports in India are not so organized or user friendly as compared to ones in the developed countries but do offer basic modern facilities to the users.

•  Generally the airports are free from crime as the entry to the check-in area is restricted to the passengers holding valid tickets for flights of the day. However, one should be careful of an odd airport/shop employee trying to change money or buy imported articles from the visiting foreigners. Do not talk to or deal with them. You can get rid of such people by simply ignoring them.

•  Wheel chairs or other facilities to carry physically handicapped persons are available on advance notice. Porters are also available within the airport (free at many airports). Porters are usually free (as printed on their shirts) but do expect a small tip.

•  While arriving at the destination, It is desirable to change your money while at the airport to meet immediate needs like taxi fare, though the exchange rates are normally better in the city.
