•  If you suspect that an interested person acts or conducts himself as if he knew of your plans or movements or someone always gets to know about your movements or activities in advance then you or your activities may be under surveillance.

•  If you find a particular person or persons, mostly looking disinterested, but appearing again and again wherever you happen to be or that a particular car or cars are always behind your vehicle sometime overtaking and then falling back, there is a high probability that you are being tailed. (s135).

•  Look for a person who is usually loitering about your office or home at a respectable distance which is not too close but from where your movements in and out of the office/home can be conveniently watched. This also needs
to be done in respect of your family members specially school going children.

•  Check up new hawkers who suddenly come and establish themselves at a vacant place around your house only to disappear after a few days.

•  A car may come into your car lot or otherwise park itself in the vicinity of your office/home to observe yours or your family members' comings and goings. There would always be at least one person in the car posing as a driver in waiting. It could even be a taxi.
