Another type of perimeter fence is based on the principle of pressure. Such a fence has 3 or more wires running on top of the boundary wall in such a way that the intruder has to put pressure on the wires to climb the wall.

This pressure exerted on the wire by the intruder activates an alarm. It is possible to divide the fence into sections and give a localized alarm or switch on lights automatically so that the exact place of intrusion is also highlighted. This is important in case there is a large boundary as otherwise the guard would not know where to start looking for problem.

Such fences have also build in protection that if the fence wires are cut then also there shall be an alarm.

Such fences can be put alongwith existing barbed wire fences too.
