• Keep your children in your sight or hold them closely at all times when you take them out with you, specially in crowded public places. • Never leave them unattended. Avoid leaving them in the custody of strangers even for a short time. If you have perforce to leave them, it must be in the custody of a person who has children with him/her. • Never leave the child alone/unattended even when you can keep an eye on the child from a distance. Beware: There may be child lifters waiting for such moments in shopping centers, parks, restaurants etc. • If prams are not allowed in certain places, either chose to go some other place or pick up the child and leave the pram outside. If you have to lose let it be the pram rather than the baby. • Do not put costly items like a watch or jewelry on young children when taking them out of the house or sending them out or even in the house if there are servants or outsiders around. • Young children who can not express themselves well should have the name, address and phone no. of the parents placed in the shirt pocket for helping their restoration if they get lost. |
